A letter from our President

[vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”316″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”post-jedan” el_class=”post-contain”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear all,

it is my pleasure to invite you to the H2O SUMMIT, 1st International Water Congress, that will be held at the Lone Hotel in Rovinj, 18-21 April 2018. Starting from the point that water is the most important good for a man, and fact that water is the most important resource on Earth, H2O SUMMIT was founded as the rst and unique event of that kind in the surroundings.

Care for water becomes the priority of each country and the international community. Croatia is rich with waters but the water system’s vulnerability, due to human activity and climate change, is high and requires priority care and cooperation of all stakeholders in the conservation of water resources. The aim of the conference is to bring together stakeholders from the Parliament, executive authorities, water management agencies, local and regional government, science and economy to share experiences, flood protection, water resources conservation and good water management practices.

The basic objective of the project is to build a new spiritual dimension of protection and use of water. At the center of the interest of Water Congress is the issue of conservation of water resources and the promotion of knowledge, protection and love for water, and ultimately a long-term change of our general relationship with water.

Water protection is the key theme of modern society in all its aspects; legislative, implementing, but also the important topic that deals with the abuse of water resources. The fact that water is best regulated economic activity in the European Union, simply imposes the need for, not only legal, but also ethical regulation of water issues at all levels in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The intention is to foster awareness of the preservation of water resources, so I am convinced that by just improving knowledge and promoting awareness of water protection and water-loving, we can successfully change our spiritual attitude to water.

H2O SUMMIT will last three days and will be divided into three basic thematic units; water protection and protection from waters, water management and use, and drainage and water supply. The congress will include a regional and ministerial conference on water policy and cooperation as well as a regional conference of state water agencies.

The important task of the project is to raise awareness of the wider public about the spiritual, educational and scienti c dimension of conservation and use of water resources. Executive organizers are the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, the Croatian Water Society and ATI Agency, with the support of the Scienti c Expertise Board made by; Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy of the Croatian Government, Croatian Waters, EBRD, Croatian Environmental Protection Agency (HAOP), Croatian Academy of Engineering (HATZ), EWA (European Water Association) and IWA (International Water Association). The conference addresses a broad spectrum of stakeholders ranging from citizens, states, local communities, business entities, scientific and educational institutions, citizen associations, churches and religious communities. Top experts will understand and discuss the main trends in economic branches based on the exploitation of water resources. The intention is to achieve a synergistic effect in such a way that each at its level and within its capabilities and responsibilities contribute to the improvement of the general relationship to water.

I invite you to contribute to the Congress’s success with your presence and active participation, with the aim of expanding past experience and adopting new professional and scienti c knowledge.

With respect,
Goran Granic, P.h.D. President of Congress

Temeljni cilj projekta jest izgradnja nove duhovne dimenzije zaštite i korištenja vode.

Važna zadaća projekta jest podizanje svijesti najšire javnosti o duhovnoj, obrazovnoj i znanstvenoj dimenziji očuvanja i korištenja vodnih resursa.

Pozivam Vas da svojom nazočnošću i aktivnim sudjelovanjem pridonesete uspjehu Kongresa s ciljem proširivanja dosadašnjih iskustava i usvajanja novih stručnih i znanstvenih spoznaja.

S poštovanjem,

dr.sc. Goran Granić, predsjednik Kongresa[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Relations with partners

Partners or sponsors of the project participate in the Festival as an opportunity to promote services and products to the general public as well as to potential business partners. The organizational team defines the strategy and ways of achieving the communication and other goals of each partner with the contractual obligation of a continuous evaluation of the achieved results. What H2O SUMMIT makes different from other festivals and projects is the maximum use of all available communication platforms through a strong link with the major media partners. Partner in the Project in agreement with the H2O SUMMIT organizational team defines which actions and ways of participating in the project in accordance with its strategy and goals, and precisely chooses its interest in the project. Thanks to the association with strong institutional partners in a joint national project, we have ensured its continuity in the times ahead. With the clever integration of partners and sponsors in the content of the project, long-term results are guaranteed.

Promotion

A) printed media / direct linking of the project with the publishing segment, interviews, a whole set of accompanying editions, as well as other releases that will remain on the market, promotion of these releases at the event itself
B) electronic media / preparation of television themes related to all three main program units of the project
C) new media and social networks

A few facts about the H2O Summit you need to know

[vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”384″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”bold-post”][vc_column][vc_column_text]A three day summit, divided into three basic thematic units. The congress will include a regional and ministerial conference on water policy and cooperation as well as a regional conference of state water agencies.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”post-jedan” el_class=”post-contain”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The basic objective of the project is to build a new spiritual dimension of protection and use of water.

The congress will include a regional and ministerial conference on water policy and cooperation as well as a regional conference of state water agencies.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”” title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”black” border_width=”5″ el_width=”70″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Let’s give some context to the H2O Summit

Radical change of awareness for water as a resource at all levels as well as long-term education of the widest public about the meaning of water as a unique source of life.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_id=”post-tri” el_class=”post-contain”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The starting point

The name H2O SUMMIT already suggests that the congress is based on a scientific level. The long-term goal of the traditional manifestation is to raise long distance awareness of waters and preserve them.

For the wider public, the issues of water management and the loss of water in cities are extremely important. On the other hand, it is a fact that over the last few decades, global sales of bottled water have become one of the world’s leading businesses, currently estimated at about $ 60 billion, and by 2020, the value of that market will be worth $ 1 trillion. Croatia has a wealth of high quality drinking water reserves. This market grows annually by an average of 15%. The fact that Croatia is in the company of thirty water rich countries in the world is saying that here lays a strong and so far insufficient economic potential.
